The information contained on The African Chamber of Commerce (AFCHAM) website at www.afcham-china.org (the “Service”) is for general information purposes only. AFCHAM assumes no responsibility for errors or omissions in the contents on the Service.

In no event shall AFCHAM be liable for any special, direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental damages or any damages whatsoever, whether in an action of contract, negligence or others, arising out of or in connection with the use of the Service or the contents of the Service. AFCHAM reserves the right to make additions, deletions, or modifications on the contents on the Service at any time without prior notice. AFCHAM does not warrant that the website is free of viruses or other harmful components.

The AFCHAM website may contain links to external websites that are not provided or maintained by or in any way affiliated with AFCHAM. Please note that AFCHAM does not guarantee the accuracy, relevance, timeliness, or completeness of any information on these external websites.

The use of content copied from the AFCHAM website such as: AFCHAM’s company name, the AFCHAM logo, slogan, office address, contact numbers, pictures, audio and video files does not in any way hold AFCHAM accountable for their use except when an official authorization letter from the Intellectual Property Department of AFCHAM is issued.
1.5
Links from other websites to pages on the AFCHAM website do not serve as proof of association, contract or partnership with AFCHAM unless accompanied by a duly signed and stamped document by verifiable AFCHAM officials.
Section B. AFCHAM Representation
1.1
Apart from verifiable AFCHAM board members, staff and registered members, all other representatives of AFCHAM at events and meetings carry authorization letters or mandate cards with AFCHAM’s official seal as proof that they represent AFCHAM. Failure to provide such proof, AFCHAM is not accountable for any decisions and commitments made by the parties concerned involving AFCHAM.
1.2
Except otherwise stated, registered members of AFCHAM representing AFCHAM have limited rights to go into negotiations on behalf of AFCHAM. Contracts negotiated and signed by AFCHAM registered members without due authorization are not accounted for by AFCHAM.
1.3
AFCHAM representative offices need proof of authorization before they are being used to carry out any activities on behalf of AFCHAM without which, AFCHAM is not responsible for the decisions and commitments made within the premises or in the locality by persons working with the representative office. AFCHAM representative offices are listed on AFCHAM’s official website for verification.
1.4
Individuals, groups, companies, governmental and non-governmental organizations partnering with AFCHAM must show proof of their partnership using an MoU, Partnership Contract and or Mandate letter carrying the signature the AFCHAM official in charge and AFCHAM’s official seal, without which, AFCHAM is not accountable for any decisions and commitments made by the said entity on behalf of AFCHAM.
1.5
Sponsors and donors to AFCHAM have a document that defines what they get in return for sponsoring or donating to AFCHAM. Any decisions or actions made outside the terms stipulated in the document issued to them after receiving sponsorship or donation are not to be accounted for by AFCHAM.
Section C. Promotional Materials
1.1
The possession of promotion materials from AFCHAM such as, pictures and videos at the AFCHAM office or events, pamphlets, brochures, flyers, business cards, catalogues, emails, newsletters, magazines, does not pass for proof of affiliation to AFCHAM, partnership with AFCHAM or representative mandate from AFCHAM.
1.2
Content on AFCHAM promotional materials and publications are copyrighted and AFCHAM is not responsible for any unauthorized use of it partially or wholly.
